You keep our high-tech greenhouses running

In our high-tech greenhouses, it’s all about technology. As a maintenance engineer, you’ll work alongside an experienced team to maintain and improve electrical, water and ventilation systems.

You’re not afraid to roll up your sleeves: you analyse faults, resolve them quickly and professionally, and contribute ideas for smart technical solutions and mechanisation.

The work is varied and challenging – no two days are the same. You’ll be working day shifts, and, once you’ve had a proper induction, you’ll also be on call (on a rota basis).

What are you bringing?

You are able to switch effectively between day-to-day operations and the broader perspective required to manage a team and schedule effectively.

You communicate clearly with colleagues at various levels and are also able to make yourself understood clearly in English.

You are flexible and able to move independently between different locations or tasks as and when required.

If you already have some technical experience, that’s a bonus. If you’re just starting out in your career, our experienced colleagues will be happy to teach you the ropes.

You know what it means to react quickly when a system breaks down unexpectedly. No experience yet? After a thorough induction period, you’ll grow into the role step by step.

Who are you?

You take the initiative to tackle tasks independently, but you also know when working together is the best solution.

When a technical fault occurs, you look beyond the problem itself. You analyse what is happening and seek a practical and sustainable solution.

Even when several matters demand your attention at once, you keep a clear overview. You decide what needs to be done first and carry on working in a structured manner.

You realise that the equipment at a greenhouse horticulture business must always keep running. That is why you are flexible and willing to take part in the on-call rota once your induction period is over.
